Frequently Asked Questions
What's the Difference Between Hemp and Marijuana?
Hemp and Marijuana are both part of the same family of plants - the Cannabis family. Hemp has been much more extensively used commercially and is known to have thousands of different applications in food, clothing, dietary supplements, skin care products and more. Marijuana has almost exclusively been used as a recreational drug (due to the high THC content) or in medical treatment of certain conditions. Though legalization of marijuana is becoming more widespread, in most states it is still illegal or highly regulated. Until recently, growing Hemp in the United States was also illegal. Many states, most notably Colorado, have implemented legislation to allow for farming of Hemp and, due to high demand, have more than doubled their production in the past year. Thanks to recent updates in federal legislation, Hemp is no longer grouped with Marijuana as a controlled substance and is now federally legal in all 50 states.
Will I get High using Hemp Products?
Though Hemp is part of the Cannabis family, it is quite different from Marijuana in that it contains almost no (less than 0.3%) THC. THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is the ingredient in Marijuana that makes you feel "high". Because of this, it is virtually impossible to feel high using Hemp-derived CBD oil products. Some CBD Oil products available on the market are extracted from Marijuana. However, even these products have the THC removed and should not cause you to experience the effects of this active ingredient.
Can CBD help my Condition?
There is a lot - and we mean A LOT - of research that has been conducted on the health benefits of CBD oil. Some of the reported benefits include improved immune function, improved intestinal mobility, mood stabilization, pain relief, decreased inflammation and much more! Because of its chemical properties, cannabidiol is able to act on and regulate a number of systems and chemical pathways in the body. For a list of some of the conditions that have been studied, as well as some interesting journal articles, click on "Benefits of CBD Oil" below.
Will Taking CBD Oil Cause me to Fail a Drug Test?
All of our CBD products are made from hemp and therefore contain less than 0.3% THC, most being 100% THC free. Though it is extremely unlikely that any of these products would cause you to have a false positive outcome on a drug test, we cannot guarantee it won't happen. There are many compounds that can lead to a false positive on a drug test but we can say that this is extremely unlikely with our CBD products. However, if this is a major concern of yours, we recommend that you avoid using CBD products.
Is it Safe for Pets?
Absolutely! Many pet owners have started using CBD Oil to help their pets overcome problems such as separation anxiety, decreased appetite and many other disorders. The droppers and CBD-infused treats we carry provide an easy and effective means of administering this supplement to your pet.
