The History of the Easter Bunny
Did you know that the legend of the Easter Bunny originated in Germany? Well we sure didn't. Turns out that the Easter Bunny first arrived in America in the 1700s when German immigrants settled in Pennsylvania. It is believed that the tradition of decorating eggs dates back as far as the1300s. It is believed that eggs were forbidden during Lent and after this period of fasting was over, people would celebrate by painting eggs before breaking the fast. Pretty interesting right!?
